Ceasefire Oregon presented a slideshow on gun safety.
The League meeting was held on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at the Douglas County Library at 6:00 pm. It was a peaceful and informative meeting. Thanks to Dr. Larry Hall and Penny Okamoto for sharing their information about the need for gun safety. Penny Okamoto is the Executive Director of Ceasefire Oregon. She pointed out that an overwhelming majority of Oregonians favor universal background checks, which the League of Women Voters supports as well.
