Garden Tour 2015

“Gardens, scholars say, are the first sign of commitment to a community. When people plant corn they are saying, let’s stay here. And by their connection to the land, they are connected to one another.” – Anne Raver

flowers-12Join the League of Women Voters Umpqua Valley on June 13 when we celebrate our community at the fourth annual Spring Garden Tour.

The self-guided tour, with will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature six gardens in the Roseburg area located amid the diverse landscapes of the Umpqua including along the river, tucked into a wooded hillside, under the big sky of our open valley and in neighborhoods in the heart of town.

Musicians will be playing at each garden, helping to bring out the magic of their surroundings. Artists will be demonstrating their skills and showing their wares, making the tour the perfect occasion to pick up a handmade gift for a special friend or occasion.
