CD4 Congressional District #4 –
Zoom Candidate Forum was held on Thursday, Oct. 6th at noon. 4 candidates participated: Mike Beilstein, Pacific Green and Progressive; Val Hoyle, Democrat and Working Families; Levi Leatherberry, Independent; Alek Skarlatos, Republican. Sponsors: Springfield City Club, City Club of Eugene, and Lane, Lincoln, Corvallis, Curry, Umpqua, Linn, and Coos Leagues.

HD9 Oregon House District #9 – Zoom Candidate Forum held on Monday, October 3rd at 4pm. Jerry Rust, Democrat; Boomer Wright, Republican. Sponsors: Umpqua, Lane, and Coos Leagues.

The Douglas County Commissioners Candidates Public Forum was held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

The League of Women Voters of Umpqua Valley posed questions for each of eight candidates out of 11 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Questions from the audience were also asked and answered. Check out the video recording for an in-depth view of candidates responses.

Douglas County Commissioners Candidates Public Forum
Held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022
7PM – 8:30PM

Douglas County Fairgrounds, Cascade West Building

Join us for a non-partisan Douglas County Commissioners candidates forum. Be informed to make informed voting choices.

The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose candidates or political parties.

Open to the public, a free event.


Elections 2020:

Four Candidate Forums held by the League of Women Voters of Curry County:

  1. State Rep District 1 and Curry County Candidates (Dallas Heard and Kat Stone)
  2. Brookings City Council
  3. Port Orford City Council
  4. Gold Beach City Council

League forums are always free, open to all, educational, unbiased, and nonpartisan. The League on all levels, grassroots, state, and national, does NOT support candidates or political parties. These forums are presented so you can be an informed voter.


2018 Elections:

For the November 6, 2018 general election, the League of Women Voters of the Umpqua Valley scheduled three candidates forums held at the Holiday Inn Express, 375 W. Harvard Avenue, Roseburg, on the following dates.

October 16 – State Representative Districts 2 & 7 Candidates
