Our next local League meeting will be on Tuesday, March 24 with a social time and refreshments available at 5:30 PM and a program time of 6:00-7:30 PM. We will meet in Room #3 of the Mercy Education Building at 2459 Stewart Parkway, Roseburg. This is upstairs above the old Office Depot. There is an elevator.

Linda Clary, LWVUV member and co-chair of the statewide Children at Risk study, will show a 30-minute PBS DVD about the importance of early intervention in the lives of children, and lead our discussion and consensus-reaching process. She will also tell us what comes next in the way of advocacy on behalf of our youngest citizens.

WE HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US! It would be best if you can prepare ahead for this meeting by reading the consensus questions, reading all or part of the Children at Risk study, filling in your answers to the consensus questions, and printing your answers to bring to the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but want to submit your input, please send it to Jenny Carloni at jennifer.carloni [@] gmail.com by Sunday, March 22 and we will include your ideas in our discussion.

In League,
Jenny Carloni
LWVUV Secretary/Treasurer/Children at Risk Study Member
