Some of the best people in Douglas County attended last night’s Annual Business Meeting of the Umpqua Valley League of Women Voters. There was a roomful for dinner at the Salud Restaurant in Roseburg. The service was good. And the company was delightful.
Please enjoy the photos! And remember to support your local League. They do stellar work in our community that no one else does.

The League meeting was held on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at the Douglas County Library at 6:00 pm. It was a peaceful and informative meeting. Thanks to Dr. Larry Hall and Penny Okamoto for sharing their information about the need for gun safety. Penny Okamoto is the Executive Director of Ceasefire Oregon. She pointed out that an overwhelming majority of Oregonians favor universal background checks, which the League of Women Voters supports as well.
Thank you to the Volunteers who provided food and drink for the evening meeting.
The League thanks both Dr. Dannenhoffer and Ms. Marshall of the Public Health Division for supplying this information.
Thanks to all and for attending the Healthcare forums on Dec. 8 and 16, 2014.
