Part of our mission is to offer nonpartisan information regarding Ballot Measures. See our Voter Information page for links to the Ballot Measures as they will appear on the ballot.

The other part of our mission is advocacy. When we all agree to support something we deem important, we as League supporters, agree to speak out on behalf of a ballot measure.

We are currently advocating for the passage of M117. We believe the passage of this measure will improve our elections by offering more diversity than political parties dominating our ballots and limiting our choices.

The League of Women Voters of Umpqua Valley endorses Ballot Measure 117 Ranked Choice Voting.

Vote YES! on M117 – Ranked Choice Voting will be on your Nov. ballot!

The League of Women Voters of Umpqua Valley has officially endorsed Statewide Ranked Choice Voting. The board of directors voted to endorse this measure at their May 2024 board meeting. The state League (LWVOR) has already endorsed RCV. The Umpqua Valley League agrees and heartily endorses the passage of RCV when we vote in November at the General Election.
